“Shinogi” in the tradition and innovation

“Shinogi” is a series of porcelain ware made by Riso Porcelain meant for daily use. A philosophy of innovation within tradition has allowed Riso Porcelain to develop a porcelain ware that is both beautiful and functional. This is achieved by combining the latest technology with a traditional technique called “shinogide” which makes pattern by scraping. “Shinogi” has a stylish and smooth texture which is achieved by reducing the different height levels of the traditional shinogide. Designed to fit the hand, this simple white porcelain ware goes well with any foods and dishes. “Shinogi” with nice shadow effects that changes in different lighting turns the daily table into fine moments.

Shinogide
Shinogide is a traditional technique which makes patterns by scraping the half dry clay. The technique originated from the Shinogi of Japanese sword.
