The Exhibition “Blurred: Intersecting Boundaries” Fusing Traditional Techniques and Contemporary Art Will Be Held

Warehouse TERRADA will present a special exhibition “Blurred: Intersecting Boundaries” at BONDED GALLERY, located within TERRADA ART COMPLEX II. The exhibition will be held from September 11 to 28, 2025, as part of the related program for “TENNOZ ART WEEK 2025.”

The exhibition will feature works by Yuki Nara, Masayoshi Nojo, and Ayako Kuno, three emerging artists active both in Japan and abroad. Each fuses traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary expression, traversing diverse realms such as architecture and ceramics, photography and memory, and metal and the city. Their practices challenge the concept of “boundaries” that we unconsciously perceive. In an age where everything is quantified and clearly defined, their works reveal the subtle beauty of “ambiguity” that exists in between. Through contemporary reconstructions of traditional methods such as ceramics, metal leaf, and metal casting, the exhibition invites viewers to experience a world that gently wavers between clearly drawn lines.
