NOUSAKU, known for its 100% tin tableware and brass interior cast items, and NS by NOUSAKU, a jewelry brand exploring the possibilities of materials and design through the innovative material “Tin Gold,” come together in a new concept store. This multi-brand store, “NOUSAKU / NS by NOUSAKU,” will open on Friday, July 18, 2025, on the 3rd floor of the Galleria in Tokyo Midtown. It marks a bold new chapter for NOUSAKU, a metal casting manufacturer founded in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture in 1916, blending inherited craftsmanship with modern sensibilities to fully express the potential of materials and technique through design.
This will be NOUSAKU’s sixth store in Tokyo (20th in Japan) and NS by NOUSAKU’s second in the city. The store is designed by architect Yuko Nagayama, who also designed the NS by NOUSAKU store at COREDO Muromachi Terrace, as well as projects such as the Teshima Yokoo House, Japan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and the “Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier” for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The store spans approximately 62 square meters. It features an interior infused with NOUSAKU’s craftsmanship — tin ceiling decorations and fixture tops crafted by NOUSAKU artisans, and flooring crafted using casting sand. The curved walls in the brand’s signature color gently divide the NOUSAKU and NS by NOUSAKU areas, while the central space is reserved for exhibitions and events showcasing new creations.
To celebrate the opening, seven new NOUSAKU items will be released in advance exclusively at Tokyo Midtown. Highlights include the “Mush Bloom” brass vase, which brings out the natural beauty of the material, and 100% tin lucky cat figurines such as “Lucky Gold Maneki-neko” and “Lucky Bond Maneki-neko.” On Sunday, July 20, Asuka Wakita — designer of the NS by NOUSAKU second collection “Line and Curve” — will appear in-store for a special event, offering guests a rare opportunity to hear directly from the designer about her jewelry work.
To commemorate the grand opening, customers who purchase NS by NOUSAKU items at Tokyo Midtown will receive a limited-edition gift: NS by NOUSAKU original charm with kohakuto (Japanese jelly candy), available while stocks last and with qualifying purchases. Don’t miss this special opportunity to experience the artistry of NOUSAKU firsthand.
