From one craftsman’s hand to another, the long and time-consuming process of crafting lacquerware is the result of the passion of people diligently passing on Wajima’s proud craftsmanship from one generation to the next. The red-hot glow of the lacquer, applied layer by layer and polished with charcoal, will continue to illuminate our lives like a bright sun.
