A gem of splendid craftsmanship

The texture of this small ceramic box, glistening as if wet with morning dew, gives it a rich countenance. The geometric patterns, which resemble watercolor paintings in subtle colors, are gorgeously decorated with gold Kinsai. This piece represents the new world of Kutani ware in every respect, with its ongoing innovation on traditional techniques.
