A tub used to keep cooked rice is called “meshi-bitsu” and a tub with a slip-on lid style is called “Edo-bitsu”. Edo-bitsu is made from a 300 years-old Sawara cypress tree detailed with silver rings as support, using traditional techniques. Its singular look and expression, exudes a stately appearance.
