Kyoto yamahon
Yamanaka lacquerware is made with highly advanced wood-turning techniques that allow us to enjoy the intrinsic charm of the material to the fullest. The beautiful ripples drawn by the grain of the wood further accentuate the beauty of the curves ground by the kijishi (the specialized woodturner craftsman). The “SINAFU” footed dish seems to make the gesture of the person who takes it in hand look elegant and graceful.
