3daysofdesign, which began as a small design event in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2013, has grown into one of the Scandinavia’s leading design festivals and continues to attract global attention each year. The 2026 edition will be held from June 10 to 12, 2026 across eight districts in Copenhagen, with historic buildings, showrooms, and galleries transformed into exhibition venues. The festival will feature a wide range of presentations and events by international brands and designers, covering furniture, lighting, architecture, interiors, and contemporary design products. Design professionals from around the world — particularly from Scandinavia and Northern Europe — are expected to gather for the occasion. Known for being open to the public as well as industry professionals, the festival welcomed more than 460 participating brands and over 60,000 visitors last year.
In recent years, a number of exhibitors from Japan participating in 3daysofdesign has continued to grow. Japanese furniture manufacturers such as Time & Style, ARIAKE, and Karimoku Case, along with lighting makers, design studios, and craft-related exhibitions, are increasingly contributing to the festival’s international presence. Among this year’s highlights, Asahiyaki Kiln from Uji, Kyoto will make its first appearance at the festival. The kiln will present a new tableware collection titled “osaa,” created in collaboration with the design studio Kaksikko from Helsinki. In addition, ZOZO NEXT will introduce products from its new project “Yobiiro” overseas for the first time. The project explores the fusion of traditional crafts and advanced technology, presenting new possibilities for contemporary craft and design.
The 2026 edition of 3daysofdesign is centered around the theme “Make This Moment Matter.” Over the course of three days, the entire city of Copenhagen will be energized by exhibitions, installations, talks, and creative events, offering visitors opportunities to encounter new ideas and inspiring contemporary design from around the world.
