Over 200 years ago, Gyokusendo was established as a producer of metal pots, or yakan. This meticulously crafted hot water kettle is inspired by the majestic views of Mount Yahiko, whose copper mine has long supported the development of Tsubame’s copperware industry. With each use the kettle deepens in color, embodying the spirit of the region and serving as a cherished presence in the daily lives of the people using it.
